Sierra Madre police officers have taken over 175 fraud reports linked to EVG Quality Gas station in recent days, officials said Monday.
The first victim reported identity theft on Dec. 27 after using her credit card at the 50 S. Baldwin Avenue gas station, which has been closed since Christmas weekend, according to a police news release.
The total loss reported exceeds $49,000 and does not include others who have been victimized and have not made a formal report to the police department.
