Oh ffs: another state agency that failed to adequately secure data online. WFTV reports:
The Department of Children and Families sent out letters to 100,000 child care workers statewide about a possible breach in security. WFTV learned that the employees’ personal information was stored online, but it wasn’t password protected.

The vendor that stores the information had it on the Internet. It wasn’t easily accessible on any search engine, but it was not password protected.
“During the time the information was unprotected, there was only legitimate uses for that information, only legitimate uses conducted by the vendor,” said DCF spokesperson Kristi Gray.
