New legislation governing data breaches and privacy issues is popping up in states across the country. Most recently, Connecticut, Vermont, and Illinois have enacted new laws in these areas.

Its all based on a simple phrase…. “personal proprietory privacy”. Use that phrase, and it becomes a phrase that ties an individual to its OWN privacy, and not the right to place anothers personal privacy at risk. Its not that hard; looks like they have to fight against each other just before the elections to give themselves some motivation to show face, in congress, TV and the political campaign trail.
