There are lots of understandable reasons why a doctor might want to share an unusual or interesting case with others. Understandable, but still verboten without the patient’s consent. It will be interesting to see what the investigation determines and whether any disciplinary steps are taken. And if a non-physician would be terminated for a breach of this kind, will a physician be?
