The 13abc I-Team has uncovered a major personal information release by the State of Ohio. Drivers’ licenses, social security numbers, even birth certificates without personal information blocked out was all released by the Department of Agriculture.
People looking into the seizure of animals from Tiger Ridge Exotics got far more than they imagined and it’s probably going to have a lot of state workers uneasy.
There are birth certificates, drivers licenses, I-9 form, social security numbers,” said Jerri Fink.
The number of employees affected is either 8, if you believe a state spokesperson, or closer to 30, if you believe one of the recipients of the unredacted records. And the files may contain other sensitive information that should not have been revealed:
On the phone Thursday, the I-team spoke with a second woman who received the same disk of information. She’s already found child custody papers, court papers from divorces, even employees children’s names.
