Shawne K. Wickham writes in the Union Leader:
Elliot Health System has notified six patients that their private information may have been compromised after a computer theft last month at one of its vendors.
John Shea of New Boston got a letter yesterday from Elliot’s director of compliance, informing him of the theft and possible breach of confidential patient data. The letter, dated March 12, notified him that 10 computers had been stolen from Advanced Medical Partners Inc., a Texas-based company, on Feb. 22.
“These computers contained electronic protected health information and could potentially include your name, procedural dates of service at EHS, name of your insurance company and your date of birth,” the letter stated.
