Tom Bodden reports:
THE Welsh Assembly Government has confirmed that 16 cases of official data have been lost or stolen in the last three years.
Ten of the losses of material, classed as “medium to low risk”, took place this year, according to details released under the Freedom of Information Act.
Missing information deemed “medium risk” in the last 12 months included a hard copy file about a property; a personnel file containing a staff member’s employment history; a briefcase of “various papers” left on a train; and a file with personal and business information lost when a third party went in to receivership.
The data included a personnel file lost by the HR Department, business information from the Department for Economy and Transport, and papers lost by the Legal Services Department.
