Roughly 800 Columbus schools employees are being offered free credit monitoring services, just in case their information was compromised, the district said today.
A computer printout with at least 50 employees’ personal information, including Social Security numbers, was found during a police raid on an East Side home Saturday.
Until this year, some investment firms that handle annuity programs wouldn’t accept electronic deposits, instead requiring the district to mail a printout of employees’ names and a paper check. (Police have not found the check that had been attached to the printout in this case, but it was never cashed.)
