And when that manila envelope arrived in the mail, Eberly thought it would be all about his situation — not about a stranger in Barrie who, thanks to a mailing error by Pardons Canada, made him privy to another man’s fingerprints, his mugshot, his address, his date of birth, as well as his criminal past as laid out in the accompanying RCMP documentation.
