Grant Parpan of the North Shore Sun reports:
A cardboard box filled with records from a Holbrook social worker’s office — including Social Security and bank account numbers, addresses and phone numbers of clients — was delivered to The North Shore Sun last week by a town worker who said he found it lying on the side of Ridge Road.

The box had an address label that was addressed to a Shoreham woman who worked from home doing billing for the social worker. When contacted at her home Tuesday, Madeline Dettleff said she threw the box away after she stopped working for the social worker, Cynthia Fischer.
When asked if the paperwork should have been shredded, Ms. Dettleff said: “Yeah, but [Ms. Fischer] didn’t have a shredder and I don’t have one at home. It probably should have been.”
