Back in February, CBS News reported that dozens of Irving Independent School District employees had become victims of ID theft and that a former volunteer at the school, Sharon Seeley, had been charged in connection with the case. Now today, Katherine Leal Unmuth of the Dallas Morning News provides an update on this case. Apparently 3,400 employees of Irving ISD had their names and Social Security numbers on a report that somehow wound up in the trash, unshredded. So far, there are 64 people claiming to have become victims of ID theft.
