From Radio Netherlands:
The Data Protection Authority (CBP) says details of people’s medical history are being stored in regional electronic dossiers without their knowledge. The CBP statement is based on investigations into two electronic regional dossiers.
It is likely that people who have refused to allow their details to be recorded in the national electronic medical dossier have been included in regional dossiers without their consent.
There are also concerns that others besides doctors directly involved in treating patients could have access to the regional dossiers. The CBP says privacy legislation is being breached and that this is worrying because the of the sensitive information concerned.
