Laura Keil of TheStarPhoenix.com reports that a lockbox stolen from Family Service Saskatoon on May 26 has not yet been found. The lockbox contained the names and addresses of donors, volunteers, and clients:
The stolen safe had encrypted backup computer tapes that require a special player to play, and the safe was locked when it was taken. All client files and counsellors’ notes are kept in a separate, locked room with a security code required for access, and were not tampered with by the intruder. Family Service has consulted with Saskatchewan’s privacy commissioner and is following his privacy breach guidelines.
