New information is coming to light about the case against a man from Luzerne County accused of hacking into a casino’s computer system to get revenge.
Investigators call Leo Hornbaker, III a computer whiz who used his smarts to try to get back at the Mount Airy Casino
According to court papers, Hornbaker was a former employee at Mount Airy Casino Resort near Mount Pocono. He wasn’t happy with how he left his job and that’s why, police said, he took his revenge.
“He VPN-ed, which was accessed from a remote location which was determined to be his residence, into a server, a secure server at the casino at Mount Airy,” explained Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Derek Fozard.
Hornbaker faces felony charges for hacking into the casino’s computer system and disrupting player and access cards used for gambling.
