Roshell Demps was hired to help Miami-Dade Schools personnel obtain their employee benefits…. Authorities say Demps used one employee’s personal information to open a credit card account — and then went on a spending spree.

Most recently, [Demps] worked in the office that oversees healthcare benefits, life insurance and workers compensation. When authorities went to her Miami apartment, they found the names and Social Security numbers of several hundred other schools employees in her Miami apartment, according to a federal indictment.
However, it appears that only the one fraudulent account was opened.
