A woman who stole about $72,000 from the bank accounts of patients and dentists at dental offices where she worked as an office manager was sentenced today to five years and four months behind bars.
The plea bargain for Emily Marie Forbes included a recommendation that she be allowed to serve her custody in a Department of Corrections drug rehabilitation program.

Detectives from that department arrested Forbes, an employee of Scripps Ranch Family Dentistry, at her workplace Aug. 18.
She committed the crimes between June 2008 and the time she was arrested while working at five dental offices in Chula Vista, El Cajon and San Diego, authorities said.
