As a follow-up to a breach reported here last month, the BBC reports that Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust in Surrey has apologized and banned the use of unencrypted memory sticks after 76 patients’ personal details were lost.
Now if we could just get all health care facilities in the U.S. to flat out ban the use of unencrypted portable drives and to start firing those who violate the policy, that might help a bit.
