Session Abstract
This webinar will discuss the findings from a survey of IT, privacy and compliance executives at both healthcare organizations and business associates regarding their awareness of the recently enacted HITECH Act and the potential for data breaches at hospitals and their business associates. The research provides revealing feedback on the surprising number of hospitals that have experienced a data breach, which hospitals are most at risk, which measures are most effective at preventing data breaches and business associates’ level of preparedness for meeting the obligations of the HITECH Act. The session will conclude with recommendation on how organizations can best protect patient data and prevent data breaches.
