Geralyn Moore, age 32, a resident of Marrero, LA, pled guilty in federal court today before U. S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon to one count of access device fraud and two counts of wire fraud related to fraudulent purchases made on a Discover Card, which did not belong to her, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to the factual basis, Moore admitted that from April 2008 through August 2008, she fraudulently used a Discover Card that did not belong to her to obtain approximately $2,852.82 in goods and services from various businesses.
Moore faces a possible maximum sentence of twenty (20) years imprisonment and a $250,0000 fine as to each wire fraud count; and a possible maximum sentence of ten (10) years imprisonment and a $250,0000 fine on the access device fraud count. Sentencing has been scheduled for May 12, 2010.
