Posted on January 22, 2010 by Dissent

10TV News reports:

Hundreds of Columbus Public Health employees were notified Friday that personal information pertaining to some of them was stolen.

The employees were notified by e-mail.

Spokesman Jose Rodriquez said Columbus Public Health was conducting an internal investigation. He said a criminal investigation was also under way, 10TV News reported.

Rodriquez confirmed that the City of Columbus was providing Columbus Public Health employees with one year of identity theft protection.

Additional information about the investigation was expected to be released later Friday.
