Dan Scanlan reports:
What investigators are calling a “sophisticated” scheme that opened dozens of fake lines of credit and racked up more than $88,000 on at least eight victims’ credit cards ended Tuesday with the arrest of two Jacksonville residents.
The U.S. Secret Service said there could be more victims and suspects, and “a lot more” stolen as its investigation continues.
Deborah Geiger, 28, of the 13000 block of Coman Road, was arrested on charges of bank fraud, fraudulent use of personal identification information and grand theft, and is being held on $150,000 bail pending a court appearance set for Wednesday, Feb. 24, according to jail records. Corey Hall, 26, of the 4300 block of Confederate Point Road, was arrested on the same charges, held on $75,000 bail with a court hearing the same day, according to jail records. Another man and woman are also under investigation, according to the arrest report.
