Goshen — The Village of Goshen Police Department [in New York] is investigating a scheme to commit identity theft and grand larceny at the Goshen branch of the Bank of America, located at 54 West Main Street.
On March 2, several residents reported unauthorized withdrawals from their ATM accounts made at various Bank of America locations, including Manhattan and Chicago. The withdrawals occurred from Feb. 25 through March 2.
At the Goshen branch office, surveillance cameras show a tall, thin, white female placing an ATM “skimming” device on the walk-up ATM at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13. Thirty-seven debit card accounts were compromised, with a total theft of $24,859.
