After an extensive investigation of a reported theft of medical records from two clinics in the Boulder Community Hospital’s network earlier this year, officials have determined that 79 patients had their personal information exposed.
Hospital spokesman Rich Sheehan said the information theft was confined to patients of the Family Medical Associates clinic in Lafayette and the Buffalo Ridge Medical Associates clinic in Broomfield. As soon as the hospital confirmed that the information was exposed, officials sent letters and called the affected patients, Sheehan said.
