A former Los Angeles County social services worker has been charged with filing bogus tax returns using indigent clients’ identities to obtain $1 million in tax refunds.
The U.S. attorney’s office said Tuesday that Trang Van Dinh was indicted on 11 counts of identity theft and 11 counts of making false claims to the United States.
