An unknown number of canceled checks bearing Social Security and bank account numbers of Rockland town employees are missing after wind knocked them from a loaded recycling truck.
The incident occurred on Friday, July 23, and involved the disposal of payroll checks issued from 1992 to 2002 to hundreds of present and past town workers.
