Three people are charged with stealing credit and debit cards from Palm Beach County mailboxes and using them for identity and cash thefts.
Federal prosecutors said Monday four victims lost more than $200,000 combined. The ring operated in Wellington and other cities, stealing the cards and then using them to make cash withdrawals or large purchases at stores and restaurants. Some victims’ identities were also stolen.
