An East Grand Forks man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing the identities of “dozens and dozens” of area residents and applying for credit cards in their names, said Lt. Rahn Farder of the Grand Forks Police Department.
The total number of victims is not yet known, but Farder estimates the figure at about 50. He said most of the victims live in the Grand Forks area.
Farder said that, so far, police believe charges were placed on only one card. He declined to say how much money was charged to that card.
