As the Aldi grocery chain removes suspect ATM terminals from some of its stores, police in Wheeling said they’re still trying to unravel the source of unauthorized withdrawals that add up to more than $130,000 taken from customers at the Wheeling Aldi store alone.

More than 200 debit card owners, who had shopped at the Aldi in Wheeling, reported unauthorized withdrawals of $100 to $900 each. That included 200 account-holders in Wheeling and 50 from Buffalo Grove, Benson said.
