Abel P. Navarro, age 37, of Tampa, Florida, was indicted on one count of possessing fifteen or more counterfeit or unauthorized access devices, Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, announced today.
Navarro was arrested by on November 20 by Willoughby Police following two hit-skip accidents involving him, according to previously filed court records. When Navarro’s vehicle finally stopped, an eyewitness observed Navarro attempting to hide something in the grass before police arrived upon the scene. Willoughby Police subsequently searched the area and located eighteen counterfeit credit cards all bearing the same name, but containing eighteen different Discover and Visa credit card account numbers.
