Hospital officials in St Thomas have launched an investigation after a breach of privacy involving almost 100 patients at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
A statement from the hospital says personal health information on a printed schedule was found in a parking lot on February 2nd.
Included in the schedule were details of appointments on February 1st.
The 97 patients involved have been notified, as has the regional privacy officer and the Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Update : The St. Thomas Journal‘s coverage adds this detail:
At least 15 entries had information regarding a patient’s name, date of birth, reason for visit, telephone number and OHIP card number. The remainder had names, date of birth and reason for their visit. The documents were taken from the registration area of the hospital.
