A USB thumb drive containing social security numbers for 1,200 people who sought assistance from the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services went missing from the department in August.
A notification sent by mail to the affected people said the department discovered the flash drive containing the information was missing August 24. The drive contained the names and social security numbers of people who were serviced at the Transition Center on Dryden Road in Moraine between 2005 and 2010.
