There has been a privacy breach at Workers’ Compensation [WHSCC]. An employee accessed the records of twelve injured workers without a justifiable work purpose over a three-year period. Those affected are in the process of being contacted. The Workplace, Health, Safety and Compensation Commission is apologizing to all those affected, saying it has zero tolerance when it comes to this sort of activity.
An internal investigation is ongoing to ensure that all instances of inappropriate access have been identified.
