Azerbaijan: Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies Documents Leaked

Posted on April 11, 2013 by Lee J

azlarge Today i have been contacted by an anonymous leaker who has pointed me in the direction of a leak of files from the Azerbaijan government. The leak is said to come from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and is said to further affect US Contractors to the Department of Defence. > Azerbaijan (i/ˌæzərbaɪˈdʒɑːn/ az-ər-by-jahn; Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan), officially the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Respublikası) is the largest country in the Caucasus region located at the crossroads of Western Asiaand Eastern Europe.[5] It is bounded by the Caspian Sea to the east, Russia to the north, Georgia to the northwest, Armenia to the west and Iran to the south.

The actual leaked files have been posted to imgur as an album and that contains 35 images that were upload about 2 days ago and only have a few views at time of publishing and comes not too long after a leak of documents from the Palestine ministry of foreign affairs a few weeks ago. From a quick look over so far i can see that the documents go back to 2010 and contain reports and information with the following governments and government bodies. – Ministry of defence Poland

  • Republic of Turkey
  • Army of Afghanistan

So far i have figure that the follow types of information are in these documents – Scada Network information

  • Confidential documents
  • ID Cards
  • Passports
  • Mission Completion statements
  • Mission deployment statements.
  • injury incidents

For now that is all, the full album is display below and many of the documents and related information in them needs to be translated to fully understand this leak. At time of publishing i had only had a quick look over all the documents and nothing majorly critical appears to be exposed but it still raises questions as to how all these were obtained and what type of security is really protection governments of the worlds national secrets and operations. ###  Album
