The South Bend Tribune reports:
A local dentist’s office is working to ensure its patients’ records are secure after a virus attacked the office’s computer system in March.
Staff at Erskine Family Dentistry, 734 E. Ireland Road, say there is no indication the virus has accessed the personal information of patients, according to a news release.
The release said, though, the office is taking precautions to make sure the security breach on the computers does not allow unauthorized people to gain access to personal information.
Erskine Family Dentistry is working with a new IT company and has installed new antivirus software, the release said.
The office has also scheduled monthly in-depth checks of the system.
Those affected by the breach were sent a letter by mail.

So, wait. They weren’t frequently checking their system “in-depth” before this? And they think that once a month is sufficient?
There is no notice on the Erskine Family Dentistry web site at the time of this posting and I have not found a copy of their full news release yet.
