Since April 2011, this blog has covered the continuing – and concerning – saga of Weather Shield employees who became victims of ID theft and who continue to have problems filing their tax returns, year after year. And now it’s happening again.
I thought the IRS was supposedly getting its act together on helping victims of ID theft. Why are current and former Weather Shield employees still having problems? Are their legislators in the House and Senate calling the IRS and insisting the IRS deal with this effectively? If not, why not?
It’s also concerning that federal investigators have not figured out how their data was stolen.Weather Shield continues to report that there’s no evidence the data loss occurred at Weather Shield.
