NG: Fraudsters hack into Ogun account

Posted on July 6, 2014 by Dissent

KingFemii reports:

Suspected internet fraudsters have reportedly hacked into Ogun State-owned mortgage bank, Gateway Savings and Loans Limited, and stole millions of Naira. [1 million Nigerian Naira = $6,146.29  – Dissent]

Men of Ogun State Police Command are investigating the multi-million Naira fraud.

It was gathered that the internet fraud prompted a team of armed mobile policemen to storm the branch of Skye Bank Plc, located in Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, on Friday.

The security operatives reportedly arrived the bank premises about 4:30pm with an armoured personnel carrier and some patrol vans and threatened to whisk the bank manager and some staff away.
