Graham Spence reports on another case of police misuse of databases:
Trainee Detective Constable Sadaf Bhatti, 39 , a former Metropolitan Police Service officer based at Hammersmith and Fulham has been dismissed without notice.
Bhatti had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching the Data Protection Act at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 June.
She was fined £1,000 for each charge with an additional surcharge of £100 and £85 costs which must be paid within 28 days.
The offences occurred between August 24, 2012 and April 29, 2013 where she used police computer systems for personal use in breach of the law and Metropolitan Police regulations.
