NewsChannel 11 reports that at least four employees of State of Franklin Health Care Associates have become victims of ID theft following a breach involving payroll information. The Johnson City Police are investigating.
A letter sent to SoFHA employees from CEO Richard Panek on Tuesday said, “I regret to inform you of a recent data breach involving SoFHA’s payroll information including W2 and demographic data of employees.”
“This breach of security was reported to us by our third party payroll vendor,” Panek said. “We do know that the cyber attack was contained to only employee payroll information and at no time was any patient data compromised.”
