A senior counter-terrorism officer is under investigation after passing confidential security information to the school at the centre of the Trojan Horse plot.
Brett Williams, an inspector with West Midlands Police, has been interviewed under caution by the force’s professional standards department.
In emails from 2013, seen by The Sunday Telegraph, he sent sensitive details about local extremists who were under surveillance to Park View School, itself in the control of extremists at the time.

A spokesman for the force said: “West Midlands Police Professional Standards Department is investigating a complaint relating to the disclosure of information to staff at a local school. The complaint was reported in January 2014 and is still ongoing.”
