Upper Michigan’s Source reports:
Some Peninsula Federal Credit Union members had their debit cards cancelled as a precaution today.
According to bank officials, the suspected data breach was at a local merchant.

Okay, not much there, I grant you, but it was only because I looked at that story that I saw another (unrelated) breach report from back in January that I hadn’t known about previously:
Superior Blue Link in Marquette was the victim of a recent credit card hack.
Owner Mike Nason says he was notified by police just over two weeks ago of the attacks.
He says he immediately called his IT service, and they switched to a more secure dial-up service for credit card transactions. Since then, his credit card system has been totally rebuilt.
He wants to make sure the public knows, this attack came from outside the area.
