An Alva man has been charged with three felonies relating to access to a local bank’s computer network. Brett Justin Weyrick, 35, Alva, has been charged with computer fraud/unlawful use of computer system, violation of Oklahoma statute via computer, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony in Woods County Court.
According to court documents, District 26 District Attorney’s Investigator Steve Tanio began investigating the case on June 10. He was told by FBI Special Agent John Davis about information received from BancCentral National Vice President Brian Hofen and IT Operations Manager Tim Bradley. They reported that the BancCentral computer network had been hacked into from March through June 2015. Davis requested assistance in the investigation.
