Hackers broke into the servers of Bank Yerushalayim over the weekend, entering a customer database, where they accessed data on thousands of customers. The bank took the database offline after the breach was discovered, it reported in a notice sent to customers on Motzoei Shabbos.
The bank said that the database included information on customer transactions regarding the purchase and sale of stocks. According to the notice, the database was not used to execute any buy or sell orders, and customers’ money is safe. The bank has asked the affected customers to change their personal account passwords.
