Oh, now this sounds even more serious than the original headlines about flyers’ miles being stolen. The Times of India reports:
The crooks who targeted Air India had not just hacked into the frequent flyers’ club but were in control of as many as 24 user IDs of Air India’s programme administration group that was handling the club’s operation. All these IDs have been deactivated. Police say the security breach is “major and severe” and don’t deny the possible involvement of elements in Pakistan. But they aren’t commenting on the case officially as the probe is on.”The hackers had managed to sneak into several accounts of Air India employees and were verifying flyers.
