Noble House Hotels & Resorts notifies guests of payment card breaches at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and Hotel Terra

Posted on October 14, 2016 by Dissent

More data security woes are being reported by Noble House Hotels & Resorts. The chain, who reported multiple breaches in 2015 and in September of this year,  has found additional properties  had their payment systems compromised.

Noble House Hotels & Resorts was alerted to potential suspicious activity on the payment card system for Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and Hotel Terra on September 6, 2016, by a computer security firm Noble House engaged to examine the systems for its properties.  The computer security firm confirmed that the payment card system for Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and Hotel Terra may have been compromised between September 5 and September 6, 2016.  The information potentially compromised involved data found in the magnetic stripe on payment cards, including payment card number, payment card expiration date, CVV number, and, in some instances, the payment cardholder’s name.  Noble House has no evidence that any cards used at Teton Mountain Lodge or Hotel Terra after September 6, 2016, were affected.

If guests used a payment card at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa or Hotel Terra during the dates listed above, we recommend that they remain vigilant to the possibility of fraud by reviewing their account statements for any unauthorized activity.  If they see any unauthorized charges, guests should contact the bank that issued the card as soon as possible.  Credit card companies typically guarantee that cardholders will not be responsible for fraudulent charges. Additionally, if guests incurred costs that their financial institution declined to reimburse related to fraudulent charges on a payment card used at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa or Hotel Terra, Noble House will reimburse guests for any such reasonable, documented costs that their financial institution declined to pay.  To help prevent this from happening again, we are working with the computer security firm to ensure that this issue has been fully remediated, as well as reviewing and enhancing our security measures.

Noble House was able to notify all individuals for whom we had contact information.  However, because of the nature of the incident, we were not able to directly contact all potentially affected guests.  If guests have any questions regarding this incident, they may call (866) 877-7528, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time.

Noble House sincerely regrets any inconvenience or concern this may have caused.
