Are some patients still first finding out about Ambucor breach?

Posted on November 30, 2016 by Dissent

How many clients of Ambucor Health Solutions – and how many patients – have been affected by an insider wrongdoing incident at the business associate earlier this year? We still don’t know, but here’s some of what we have found out.

Gee, it would be nice if we had more transparency and business associates/vendors had to provide one complete report that was publicly available.

FYI – One commenter at the article says, “Marianne Herrmann:
This is partially incorrect because the letter i received from Ambucor says the hack included social security numbers.”

Well, I messed up the HTML, but you get the idea.

She posted the same comment on this site, but did not provide me with a copy of the letter from Ambucor, and the letter from Ambucor to other patients says no SSN. I guess it’s possible that some entities did have SSN, but it would be nice to see proof of her claim as to what the letter said.

I received a letter in November.
I am more concerned that someone wanted my pacemaker info.
I’m worried as to WHY. I have anxiety about this now.
Hacking into pacemakers to kill people, this is a real thing.
No one’s ss number was taken it was all info on the pacemakers.
