Telia Company subsidiary Zitius Service Delivery has apologised after a list of other operators’ broadband customers’ personal details was accidentally sent to a handful of its service suppliers. It said the customers affected came from a limited geographic area, and that the accidental recipients are reputable and professional operators.
Zitius recognised that the breach was very serious one and blamed it on human error by one particular worker, who departed from normal working routines. It said it has taken steps to prevent a recurrence. It has also contacted the operators who received the list and is confident that the data will be handled in a confidential manner and deleted.
