Hayley Sorenson reports:
Confidential documents showing the diagnoses and contact details of dozens of Royal Darwin Hospital cancer patients ended up in a suburban driveway.
The three-page file appears to be an appointment schedule for Northern Territory Radiation Oncology, based at the Alan Walker Cancer Centre at the RDH. It shows the names, phone numbers and diagnosis of 24 patients.
It’s unknown exactly how the document found its way onto a Moil driveway. In a statement, Top End Health Service boss Michael Kalimnios said the file was “misplaced while a staff member was off the hospital campus”.
The staff member was not authorised to remove the files from hospital grounds.
