ID theft suspect had medical records, personal information of 100+ people, police say

WAVE3 reports:

A man pulled over for allegedly driving a stolen car is facing a host of other charges.

Andrew Davis was pulled over in a stolen car and what the arresting officers found during the search of the vehicle led to a total of 13 charges, according to Davis’ arrest report.

Found in the car were approximately 10 patient files from New Beginnings Continuous Care Treatment.

WDRB also covers the arrest, noting that when they tried to investigate “New Beginnings ‘Continuous Care Treatment,” they found that

According to the Kentucky Secretary of State’s website, there is a company called “New Beginnings ‘Continuous Care Treatment'” registered in Kentucky, with offices in Prospect and Lawrenceburg.

Open Corporates, however, lists the entity as dissolved in October 2017, for failure to file its required 2017 report to the state:

It is not clear whether either of the two local news stations attempted to contact Nicole Dowd, the registered agent, to inquire about the records found in Davis’s possession. According to WAVE3, the records also included, “copies of driver’s licenses and insurance cards, as well as a blank prescription pad from New Beginnings.” It is also not clear whether the driver’s licenses and  insurance cards were from New Beginnings or unrelated to them.
