Andrew Carr reports that Linda S. Kalina, 61, of Butler, Pennsylvania was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on charges of illegally obtaining and disclosing health information of another person.
The records do not appear to be indexed on PACER yet, but according to Carr, Kalina had been employed as a patient information coordinator by the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and then by the Allegheny Health Network. The indictment charges that she obtained health information of 111 patients, in violation HIPAA.
The criminal behavior allegedly occurred between March 30, 2016, through Aug. 14, 2017.
