TN: Murfreesboro Water Department’s bill pay website hacked

Posted on August 3, 2019 by Dissent

WTVF reports:

The online access portal for Murfreesboro Water Department bill payment has been hacked.

The hacking of the website was brought to light Saturday morning.

Visitors there are greeted with an image of the Iranian flag with a Guy Fawkes mask next to it. Beneath the image, it reads, “Hacked By Iranian Hackers.” Below that reads, “Hacked By Mamad Warning.”

Read more on WTVF.

Of course, anyone can claim to be “Iranian Hackers” or any other group, for that matter.  Let’s wait and see what the city finds when it investigates.
